There's an interesting article in today's Globe about the Healey camp's response to Deval Patrick's assertions in the debate that Romney/Healey levied almost $800 million in new taxes. 

But as has been noted in a diary at Blue Mass Group, the money shot is at the bottom of the piece, where Eric Fehrnstrom, Romney's communications director, is quoted as saying the financial distress at the local level is overstated. "It ain't as bad as Deval Patrick and the cities and towns make it out to be" he says.

Maybe when you're as well-insulated from reality as Kerry Healey is things have a rosy glow, but here in Chelmsford, we know the difference between good and bad and things ain't good.
