Representative Arciero files another pension reform bill
After having success last year with a bill to limit pension abuses, Jim Arciero (representing Chelmsford precincts 3, 5, and 7) has filed another bill this year which would end termination pensions.
Chelmsford's reps turn down pay raise
By state law, the salaries of Massachusetts legislators are automatically adjusted every other year based on the change in the state's median income. The state's median income rose by approximately 5.5% over the last two years, but in light of the fiscal difficulties the Commonwealth is facing, all four of Chelmsford's representatives announced they would turn down their raise or donate it to charity.
